SPAMbassador - Part Time

SPAMbassador - PART-TIME (Austin, MN) To save time applying, Hormel Foods does not offer sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas for this position at this time. The SPAMbassador is responsible  for interacting with visitors to the SPAM Museum. They help the visitors with interactive displays and providing information about SPAM and Hormel Foods as well as answer visitor questions.

Additionally, the SPAMbassador is responsible for caring for and upkeep of the SPAM Museum, maintaining the appearance during hours in which it is open to the public. This position also may be required to work evenings and weekends. RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Person in this position:

Sets up and opens the SPAM® Museum for visitors.

Greets visitors to the Museum.

Answers questions posed in the museum.

Prepares samples for visitors.

Will be required to do minimal cleaning/ straightening.

Performs minor first aide in emergency situations.

Works on a variety of Museum related projects.  Gives 30-45 minute tours of the museum.

Closes the SPAM® Museum.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.

Attention to detail and follow through.

A pattern of initiative.

HOURS:

Austin, Minnesota Position is part time. The SPAM Museum is open 7 days a week, some holidays and evenings.

Typical museum hours:

Monday-Saturday 9 AM-5 PM and Sunday 10 AM–4 PM. Events outside of typical museum hours may also be required.
4 hour - 6 hour shifts available during typical museum hours

LOCATION:

Austin, MN At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range.  The base hiring pay range for this role is between $12.00 - $16.75 per hour, and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skill set, level of experience, and geographic market location.
