Job Summary
American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Austin, Minnesota, starting 08/03/2026. The role is a travel, full‑time position requiring 40 hours per week, nights and evenings. Compensation is based on an 8‑hour shift with a tax‑free stipend to be determined.
Assignment Overview- Start Date:
08/03/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks

40 hours per week, 8‑hour shifts - Shift: 5 × 8‑hour evening shifts

- Perform general ultrasound, OB, vascular, and breast imaging as requested.
- Provide high‑quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation in accordance with Mayo Clinic Radiology Department standards.
- Use Epic EMR for charting.
- Maintain competency across a variety of imaging equipment and technology.
- On‑site only; no telework.
- Support weekday on‑call coverage (5:00 PM–7:00 AM) and weekend on‑call coverage (Friday 5:00 PM–Monday 7:00 AM).
- Adhere to proper safety guidelines for patients and support personnel.
- Maintain flexibility to staff various work locations and shift times as needed.
- Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date; a 30–60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment.
- Minimum 1 year of ultrasound sonography experience in the specialty.
- Graduate of an accredited sonography or radiography program.
- ARDMS registration required; candidates must hold or be eligible for RDMS (Abdominal or OB/GYN) or RVT (Vascular Technology). Certification timelines apply per facility policy.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
- License required if applicable; no pending licenses accepted.
- Ability to work varied shift times and lengths, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Date of birth required for consideration.
- COVID vaccination and booster required for eligibility.
