Mechanic, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Cargill is seeking a highly skilled Mechanic I to join our food and beverage operations team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our production machinery and systems. As a Mechanic I, you will be entrusted with the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repairs of mechanical systems that are critical to our food processing facilities. You will work in a dynamic environment where commitment to safety and sustainability is paramount.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on food processing equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and provide timely solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve system efficiencies.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and machine histories.
• Assist in the installation of new production equipment.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and other mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
• Proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
