Our client is a global marketing operations and brand activation organization that partners with leading consumer goods, retail, and manufacturing brands to deliver promotional products, point-of-sale (POS) materials, merchandising solutions, and procurement services. On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to lead strategic client relationships, drive business growth, and oversee the successful execution of promotional marketing programs.
This role serves as a key client-facing leader responsible for strengthening partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, managing complex projects, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. The ideal candidate combines strong account management skills, commercial acumen, and experience supporting retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands.
Job DescriptionIn this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to key client stakeholders, helping to develop and execute promotional merchandising, retail marketing, and branded product initiatives that support business objectives. The Senior Account Manager will balance strategic planning with hand-on project oversight, leveraging industry expertise to identify growth opportunities, improve operational efficiencies, and deliver innovative solutions. Success in this role requires strong leadership, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
ClientRelationship Management
- Serve as the primary senior-level contact for assigned client accounts, managing day-to-day communications and strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding business objectives, brand strategies, and market dynamics.
- Lead client meetings, presentations, and business reviews to evaluate program performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Deliver exceptional client service while providing innovative solutions that support marketing and procurement objectives.
- Identify opportunities for efficiencies across procurement processes, purchasing cycles, product categories, sustainability initiatives, and retail promotional programs.
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and account expansion through proactive business development within existing client relationships.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and present innovative promotional product and POS solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to established quality standards.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including sourcing, procurement, production, supply chain, and creative partners, to ensure successful program execution.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, approvals, and deliverables while proactively addressing risks and challenges.
- Escalate issues appropriately and provide practical solutions to maintain project momentum.
- Support sustainability objectives by incorporating environmentally responsible practices and products into client programs where applicable.
- Partner with clients to translate brand and campaign objectives into clear project briefs and actionable requirements.
- Review concepts, samples, and deliverables to ensure alignment with brand guidelines, campaign goals, and quality expectations.
- Provide strategic guidance throughout the development and execution process.
- Analyze sales, operational, and financial performance data to ensure achievement of business objectives and service-level commitments.
- Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and recommendations that communicate results, insights, and future opportunities.
- Monitor account performance metrics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in account management, client services, promotional products, print, marketing agencies, procurement outsourcing, or related industries.
- Experience supporting retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or brand marketing teams.
- Prior leadership or people management experience.
- Demonstrated success growing client accounts, increasing revenue, and improving profitability.
- Strong experience influencing and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, including client marketing teams, brand teams, and internal operational groups.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
