Job Details- Shift: 8 Hours - Evening Shifts (2:00pm to 10:30pm)
- Job Schedule:
Part time - Weekly
Hours:
20.00 - Salary Range: $19.57 - $22.71 per hour
- Sign‑On Bonus: $2,500 (if eligibility requirements are met)
- Part‑time – 40 hours a bi‑weekly pay period
- Rotating weekends and holidays
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to residents during the scheduled work period in long‑term care. The NA provides resident‑centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). The role includes:
- Delivering age‑appropriate care per the resident’s care plan, including infection prevention, personal protective equipment use, and basic health‑care needs.
- Assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, vital sign recording, and psychosocial support.
- Transferring, repositioning, walking, and performing range‑of‑motion and passive exercises using correct techniques.
- Assisting with food preparation and dining, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Supporting nursing staff with procedures and documentation of resident interactions, behavior, activity, and dietary outcomes.
- Communicating changes in resident condition to charge nurses.
- Collecting non‑invasive specimens and vital signs.
- Providing housekeeping and laundry support.
- Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs.
- Participating in department/organization committees and task forces as needed.
High school graduate or GED preferred; not required.
- Minimum age 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long‑term care preferred.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing or state‑certified CNA within four months of starting the position. The facility provides CNA training and certification.
- Annual competency testing and continuing education: minimum 12 hours per year.
- Maintain all department‑specific required certifications.
- For applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
- Possible classification as a Sanford Category II Driver, requiring a motor vehicle report, valid driver’s license, and medical qualification per Sanford Driving Policy.
