We have an outstanding career opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join a leading Company located in the Austin, MN surrounding area.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. This position partners closely with engineering, production, supply chain, and external customers and suppliers to deliver reliable, high-quality products.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and industry requirements
- Lead product testing activities and First Article Inspection (FAI)
- Collaborate with production teams to implement effective inspection methods and prevent defects
- Develop and maintain incoming, in-process, and final inspection systems
- Establish and track key quality and manufacturing performance metrics
- Create and manage Quality Control Plans and process controls
- Conduct internal audits and support ongoing process improvements
- Maintain and continuously improve a robust ISO
9001 and AS9100 Quality Management System - Train operators and inspectors on quality standards and compliance requirements
- Drive process and product improvement initiatives aligned with organizational goals
- Manage customer complaints and return material authorizations (RMAs)
- Oversee identification, containment, and disposition of non-conforming products
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts to prevent recurrence
- Partner cross-functionally to strengthen quality systems and processes
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong knowledge of ISO
9001 and AS9100 standards - Experience with inspection systems, FAI, and quality metrics
- Certification such as ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Quality Auditor (CQA) is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis
- Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from shop floor to leadership
- Detail-oriented with a proactive, continuous improvement mindset
