JOB STATUS:
Semcac Head Start is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Service Advocate who will start August 17, 2026, and run through May 18, 2027. Program year position. 36 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
LOCATION:
Austin, MN
The Family Services Advocate (FSA) serves as the primary point of contact for inquiries about Head Start and its services. This role supports and initiates recruitment efforts for Head Start families, ensuring participants fully understand agency policies and services. The FSA establishes and maintains effective community partnerships and referral networks, works closely with enrolled families to develop Family Partnership Agreements, and supports them in reaching their goals.
The position ensures integration across all program components—education, family services, and health.
Key duties include classroom support, family engagement, and community and program support.
Compensation: $18.80-$20.68. Higher wages available with 10+ years of direct experience. Semcac offers prorated holidays, a full benefit package, a 401(k) retirement plan, an Employee Assistance Program, and optional insurance benefits, including vision.
