Senior Accountant

Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Austin team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You will collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts

+ Manage month-end and year-end close processes

+ Reconcile general ledger accounts and perform variance analysis

+ Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

+ Assist with audit preparation and support external auditors

+ Mentor junior accounting staff and review their work

+ Identify process improvements and implement best practices

+ Support special projects as needed

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a similar role

+ CPA certification is highly preferred

+ Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting

+ Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Quick Books)

+ Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
