Responsibilities:
- Oversee the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate completion of financial reports.
- Manage and approve journal entries, maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct thorough reviews of account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with auditors during financial statement audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
- Maintain and monitor the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting workflows.
- Support the Director of Accounting by handling day-to-day financial operations.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies in all accounting activities.
- Provide detailed financial analysis to assist in decision-making processes.
- Train and guide team members on best practices in accounting and reconciliation tasks. Requirements - Proven experience in managing month-end close processes.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and financial reporting.
- Expertise in preparing and reviewing journal entries.
- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes and resolving discrepancies.
- Experience supporting financial statement audits with external auditors.
- Proficiency in identifying and implementing accounting process improvements.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
