About the RoleAs a Staff Accountant, you will support the accuracy and reliability of financial operations through hands-on ownership of core accounting processes. You’ll play a key role in maintaining clean financial data, supporting month-end close, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between operations and accounting.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, curious, and looking to grow their accounting skillset in a dynamic environment.
What You’ll Own- Core Accounting Execution - Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
- Reconciliations & Close Support - Complete monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations. Support the month-end close process.
- Data Accuracy & Validation - Review transactions and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Reporting Support - Assist with financial reporting and help maintain reporting tools that provide visibility into business performance.
- Cash Flow Awareness - Track payments and receipts to support accurate cash flow timing and visibility.
- Process Integrity - Follow internal controls, maintain organized documentation, and ensure compliance with accounting policies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with internal teams and external partners to gather and validate financial information.
- Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce errors, and increase efficiency.
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP)
- Experience with reconciliations and general ledger work
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Clear communication and a collaborative mindset
- Experience in a project-based or operationally complex business
- Exposure to construction, manufacturing, or similar industries
- Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems
- Real ownership early in your career - you’ll own meaningful pieces of the accounting process
