LHH is partnering with one of our clients in the Domain area to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, collaborative team supporting high-volume AP operations.
What You'll Be Doing
Accounts Payable Operations
* Process daily disbursements with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
* Manage payment reversals, rejections, and returns in line with internal workflows
* Execute payments via check, wire, ACH, and internal bank transfers
* Process commission payments and validate settlement accuracy
* Maintain accurate vendor and agent account records
* Review payment activity, identify discrepancies, and proactively investigate issues
Vendor Management & Reconciliation
* Serve as a point of contact for internal teams and external vendors
* Maintain vendor master data including W-9s, payment terms, and banking details
* Reconcile AP ledger accounts to ensure alignment with financial records
Team Support & Administration
* Cross-train within the team to support coverage as needed
* Assist with special projects and ongoing process improvements
What You Bring
Required
* 3-5 years of progressive Accounts Payable experience
* Degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
* Strong knowledge of disbursement processes (checks, ACH, wires)
* Hands-on ERP experience (Oracle preferred)
* Full-cycle AP experience including:
* Invoice coding
* 2-way / 3-way matching
* Exception resolution
* Advanced Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office proficiency
* Ability to manage high-volume processing in a deadline-driven environment
* Strong communication skills with both vendors and internal stakeholders
Preferred
* Experience in a corporate accounting or finance environment
* Exposure to month-end close activities (accruals, reconciliations)
* Understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
