Technical Accountant

A fast-growing organization operating in the artificial intelligence and advanced technology space is seeking a Technical Accountant to support its expanding finance function. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and commercially aware accounting professional who enjoys working in a complex, high-growth environment.

The Technical Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, developing scalable accounting policies, and supporting critical business initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams while addressing sophisticated accounting challenges across a dynamic business landscape.

• Lead and manage revenue recognition policies across subscription and usage-based models
• Assess and determine accounting treatment for capital-intensive assets, including hardware and infrastructure environments
• Prepare and review technical accounting memoranda for complex transactions and agreements
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reporting adjustments
• Coordinate audit readiness and serve as a primary contact for external auditors
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting frameworks
• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide accounting guidance on new products, contracts, and business initiatives
• Evaluate financial implications of new commercial models prior to implementation
• Drive process improvements and support finance system enhancements for scalability and accuracy
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and ensure timely adoption and compliance

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA
• 4–8 years of experience in technical accounting, preferably within a public accounting firm or a complex corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ability to apply guidance to real-world scenarios
• Experience preparing technical accounting documentation, including memos and policies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a high level of ownership and accountability
• Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Experience with US GAAP or multinational reporting environments is preferred
