The Technical Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and scalable financial reporting in a complex, high-growth environment. The role provides technical accounting expertise across revenue recognition, capitalisation, leases, and financial reporting, while supporting audit readiness, risk management, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Own revenue recognition policies, particularly for SaaS and usage-based models
- Determine accounting treatment for capital expenditure and complex transactions
- Prepare technical accounting papers and support month-end/year-end reporting
- Lead audit readiness and manage external audit requirements
- Develop accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Provide accounting guidance on new products, contracts, and commercial initiatives
- Support finance systems and process improvements
- Monitor accounting standard changes and ensure ongoing compliance
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills
- Ability to translate accounting requirements into practical business outcomes
- Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail, accountability, and problem-solving capability
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–8 years’ experience in technical accounting, ideally from a Big 4, mid-tier, or complex commercial environment
