Family Office Accounting Associate

Our Family Office practice provides accounting and consulting services to ultra‑high net worth individuals and family clients. The role involves partnership accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and advisory on complex wealth strategies.

What You Will Do
  • Work closely with multiple clients on accounting and administrative services.
  • Maintain the general ledger, generate and post journal entries, coordinate monthly close, manage budgets, and prepare financial statements with related work papers.
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies, bill pay, and invoicing issues.
  • Supervise and review the accounts payable function and Family Office staff.
  • Reconcile bank, brokerage, and credit card accounts and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare 1099 year‑end reporting and assist with quarterly and annual tax packages.
  • Respond to client requests and inquiries, and manage special projects as needed.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Network and build strong relationships internally and externally with clients.
  • Support the growth of team members via the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy.
  • Participate in team social activities to promote work‑life balance.
Successful Candidates Will Have
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • CPA eligible preferred.
  • 1 year of progressive accounting/bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
    Quick Books experience preferred.
  • Strong project management and client‑service skills.
  • Familiarity with GAAP and financial statements.
  • High attention to detail, problem‑solving, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Adherence to the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize assignments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and work independently.
Benefits
  • Pay rate range: $60,000 to $81,320 (adjusted for experience, qualifications, and location).
