Position: High-Net-Worth Tax Associate (Trusts & Estates)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Experienced Tax Associate to join our growing public accounting firm. In this role, you will play a key part in providing tax compliance, planning, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts. You will work closely with senior team members and clients to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities.
  • Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Assist in tax planning and strategy development to help clients minimize tax liabilities.
  • Analyze financial data and ensure accuracy in tax reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding tax‑related matters.
  • Assist in responding to IRS and state tax notices, audits, and inquiries.
  • Collaborate with senior accountants and managers to support client engagements.
  • Maintain organized and up‑to‑date tax records and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency in tax preparation.
Basic

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA license or progress toward certification is preferred.
  • 1–3 years of tax experience in public accounting.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws.
  • Proficiency in tax software (e.g., Pro System fx, Lacerte, Ultra Tax) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
