A rapidly growing, employee-owned construction organization is expanding its accounting team and seeking a Project Accountant / Construction Accountant to support ongoing growth. The Project Accountant / Construction Accountant will be responsible for supporting the financial management of construction projects from initiation through completion. This role partners closely with project teams to monitor job costs, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure timely reporting. The ideal candidate is adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable handling a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

• Track project costs, budgets, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Process customer billings, subcontractor invoices, and vendor payments.
• Assist with job cost analysis, forecasting, and project reporting.
• Reconcile project accounts and support month-end close activities.
• Collaborate with project managers and operational teams to resolve financial discrepancies and provide project insights.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure adherence to internal accounting procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and support additional accounting functions as needed.

• Minimum of one year of experience in cost accounting, project accounting, construction accounting, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of job costing principles and project-based accounting practices.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Flexible mindset with a willingness to take on responsibilities outside of standard job duties when necessary.
• Desire to grow professionally within a dynamic organization.
