Payroll Administrator Responsibilities
  • Pay employees by calculating pay and deductions, processing garnishments/levies, and issuing checks.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies/complaints by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Comply with government and company policies and conduct internal auditing of all payroll records.
  • Maintain accuracy and resolve problems associated with benefits, W-2s, unemployment and withholding tax.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of city, state, provincial, local, and federal legislation affecting payroll; understand and follow applicable provisions.
  • Maintain payroll related tax accounts including registration, termination and updates.
  • Assist with preparing and reconciling journal entries and accruals in conjunction with the accounting team.
  • Receive requests and maintain accurate records/reports/accruals for PTO and float time.
  • Process account funding of 401K, HSA, FSA and any other employee‑led contribution accounts.
  • Help the Finance department as needed, including journal entries, reconciliations, and audits.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experienced in Multi‑State Payroll and Tax.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to completion.
  • Sharp attention to detail, very accurate and highly organized.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, V‑Lookups, and other moderate level functions.
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, Windows. SAP Success Factors a plus.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and MS Teams.
  • Works well in a high volume, fast‑paced, rapidly changing work environment.
  • Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills essential.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of payroll experience required.
