Durbin Bennett Tax Advisors, a respected employee‑owned firm in downtown Austin, is hiring a full‑time Tax Advisor to join our collaborative and experienced tax team. This is a fantastic opportunity for early‑career professionals looking for hands‑on experience, mentorship, and long‑term growth.

We are a 38‑year‑old professional services firm focused solely on federal and state income tax and estate/gift tax planning. We perform no attestation (audits, reviews, compilations, etc.). We are a tax‑only professional firm. We have a unique structure that includes an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) adopted over ten years. We focus primarily on income tax and estate planning for high‑net‑worth families, complex pass‑through entity taxation, and real estate.

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations
• Analyze financial data and support strategic tax planning for clients with complex tax positions
• Collaborate with team members and clients directly
• Gain exposure to a variety of industries and entity types

• Last 1‑3 years of tax preparation experience
• Master’s Degree in Accounting with an emphasis in Tax preferred, or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with sufficient hours to qualify for the CPA Exam
• CPA or Enrolled Agent license, or actively pursuing CPA certification
• Strong Excel and tax software skills
• Eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
