Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Kodiak is hiring a Financial Controller in Austin, TX to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial business partnership for a $200M+ revenue environment. This hybrid role is suited for an experienced finance leader who can ensure accuracy, improve processes, and provide clear financial guidance to operational and executive leadership.

• Lead month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial statement review.
• Own reporting accuracy, variance analysis, balance sheet integrity, and operating performance visibility.
• Serve as a finance business partner by identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and financial impacts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, revenue analysis, margin review, working capital tracking, and leadership reporting.
• Partner with operations on cost structure, project or production performance, labor, materials, and margin improvement.
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, approval workflows, documentation standards, and team accountability.

• Progressive accounting and finance experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Experience supporting a business, operating company, or division with approximately $200M+ in revenue.
• Manufacturing and/or construction industry background, including exposure to operational finance, cost controls, margin analysis, labor, materials, or project performance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, close processes, financial statements, internal controls, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.

This is a visible financial leadership role with direct influence on reporting discipline, business insight, and operational decision-making. The Controller will help improve scalable accounting processes while supporting leaders with timely, accurate, and actionable financial information.

Based in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid role with approximately 25% travel.
