Kodiak is hiring a Financial Controller in Austin, TX to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, and financial business partnership for a $200M+ revenue environment. This hybrid role is suited for an experienced finance leader who can ensure accuracy, improve processes, and provide clear financial guidance to operational and executive leadership.
What You'll Do- Lead month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and financial statement review.
- Own reporting accuracy, variance analysis, balance sheet integrity, and operating performance visibility.
- Serve as a finance business partner by identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and financial impacts.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, revenue analysis, margin review, working capital tracking, and leadership reporting.
- Partner with operations on cost structure, project or production performance, labor, materials, and margin improvement.
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, approval workflows, documentation standards, and team accountability.
- Progressive accounting and finance experience in a Controller, Assistant Controller, Accounting Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Experience supporting a business, operating company, or division with approximately $200M+ in revenue.
- Manufacturing and/or construction industry background, including exposure to operational finance, cost controls, margin analysis, labor, materials, or project performance.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, close processes, financial statements, internal controls, reconciliations, and audit support.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
This is a visible financial leadership role with direct influence on reporting discipline, business insight, and operational decision-making. The Controller will help improve scalable accounting processes while supporting leaders with timely, accurate, and actionable financial information.
Location & ScheduleBased in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid role with approximately 25% travel.
