Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Our client is hiring a Controller to join their growing Finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact by leading the accounting function, developing a high-performing team, and helping build the financial infrastructure for a rapidly growing North American business.

This is an ideal role for a hands-on accounting leader who enjoys improving processes, mentoring others, and driving operational excellence.

• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting functions.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial analyses.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, banking activities, fixed assets, and cash flow management.
• Manage sales tax, business licensing, and other regulatory compliance reporting and filings.
• Partner with executive leadership to provide financial reporting, business insights, and strategic analysis.
• Support annual audits and strengthen internal controls across the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Construction or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• Canadian tax and accounting experience preferred.
• ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics is a plus).
