Intertech Commercial Flooring, founded in 1988, is a leading provider of commercial flooring products, installation, maintenance, and design consultation services to businesses throughout the Southwest.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Construction Accountant who demonstrates pride, quality, and integrity in their work for our Austin office.
Responsibilities- Perform monthly cash and bank account reconciliations
- Perform monthly sub-ledger to general ledger reconciliations
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis
- Prepare monthly journal entries, as needed
- Manage payroll and job costing entries and associated reconciliations
- Manage fixed assets accounting and related responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly cash forecasts
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of work in process (WIP)
- Assist in the preparation of bank-related deliverables
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Support year-end audit activities
- Assist with other ad-hoc projects as needed
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting preferred, or equivalent hands-on accounting experience
- 4–7 years of accounting experience; construction accounting experience a plus
- Experience with Computer Ease construction accounting software a plus
- Strong proficiency in Excel required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
