Join our growing Accounting and Finance team as a Senior Accountant! With a clear path for advancement in our expanding company, you'll apply your GAAP expertise and public accounting experience to make a meaningful impact while developing your career.
Key Responsibilities- Drive timely completion of monthly financial statements and account reconciliations within ten working days of month-end
- Execute month-end close processes and prepare precise journal entries
- Compile and analyze monthly balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and management reports
- Prepare detailed account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Review general ledger activity to ensure proper account classifications
- Serve as a technical accounting resource by staying current on accounting pronouncements, researching issues, drafting memos, and documenting policies
- Collaborate with the Manager-Accounting and Controller on annual audits
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize resources and create efficiencies
- Maintain adequate controls and segregation of duties
- Support transactional accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash forecasting
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- At least 2 years of public accounting experience with a CPA firm
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and exposure to technical accounting issues
- Advanced Excel skills and adaptability to various financial reporting systems
- Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains experience a plus
- 40-hour work week with occasional flexibility required based on business needs
- Regular verbal and written communication
- Office-based position requiring sitting for extended periods
- Computer work requiring dexterity of hands and fingers to operate keyboard and other components
- Light physical effort involving handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently
