Fagron is seeking a qualified professional to fill the role of Staff Accountant to join our Shared Services Finance team in Austin, TX. This role will support several of our US businesses.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting functions.
- Manage daily cash reconciliations and escalations with AR and AP departments in case of variances.
- Work closely with other departments, including procurement, operations, and payroll, to gather necessary information for financial analysis and reporting.
- Contribute to the elaboration and processing of the balance sheets and financial overviews
- Evaluate capital projects and enter them in the Capex system to route for approval.
- Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems as well as best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
- Assist in the annual budget process.
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, minimum of 2-5 years of accounting experience.
- ERP System expertise required;
Microsoft Dynamics and Quickbooks preferred. - Advanced Excel skills required, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, macros, etc.
- Solid team player with the ability to work independently in a confident, deliberate and productive manner.
- Ability to research issues and arrive at logical well-documented analysis and conclusions.
- Effective verbal and written communicator with both financial and non-financial individuals.
- Ability to work with others in a positive and professional manner and to develop and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers and management.
- Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed, performs work independently without being prompted.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality, accuracy, and accountability.
