Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections

Tarvos Talent is looking for an Accountant for a construction company in Austin. You will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.

• Review and approve high-volume accounts payable coding and payments (not responsible for data entry).
• Manage accounts receivable for the California services entity, including customer billing and collections using spreadsheet-based tracking.
• Provide backup payroll support as needed.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist with the month-end close process.
• Analyze job costing and estimating workbooks using existing templates to support project profitability.
• Work across multiple accounting systems while maintaining accurate financial records.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred or similar.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Public accounting or audit experience is a strong plus.
• Construction industry experience is highly preferred.
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyze and manipulate data.
• Comfortable learning and working within multiple accounting platforms, including Zoho, ADP, Xero, Gusto, and
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
