Hamby & Hengeli LLC is a niche CPA firm based in San Angelo, Texas, with team members also located in the Austin area. We specialize in audit, advisory, and tax services for the financial services industry across Texas. We offer the expertise of a large firm with the flexibility and personal attention of a smaller firm. We're growing, and we need our team to grow with us!
Whatyou'll do:
- Lead audit engagements from start to finish, ensuring work papers and financials are review-ready for partners
- Build and manage client relationships as a primary point of contact
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of auditors
- Participate in business development, leveraging your network and industry expertise
- Stay current on accounting/auditing standards and share that expertise with clients and the team
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting
- CPA license required
- Strong command of US GAAP and GAAS
- Sharp analytical and critical-thinking skills — you don't just find the numbers, you understand what they mean
- A confident communicator, both in writing and in person, with clients and your team alike
- A true team player who brings out the best in the people around you
- Bank/financial institution audit experience is a big plus
- Experience with Pro System fx Engagement and/or Knowledge Coach is a plus
- Willing to travel regularly to client sites
- Must be authorized to work in the US now or in the future without visa sponsorship
This role can be based out of our Austin or San Angelo, Texas offices. We will also consider candidates located in other regions of Texas who bring the right audit experience.
