Fund Accountant- High Growth PE fund

Fund Accountant | Venture Capital / Private Equity | Austin, TX Hybrid | Up to $85K Base + 20% Bonus

I’m partnering with a growing Austin-based venture capital and private equity firm to add a Fund Accountant to its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone coming from public accounting, fund administration, or investment accounting who wants broader, hands‑on exposure within a sophisticated investment environment.

The firm invests in high-growth, technology-driven businesses and offers an entrepreneurial culture where you’ll work closely with senior leadership and gain exposure well beyond traditional accounting.

• Fund, SPV, and co-investment vehicle accounting
• Month-end/quarterly close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• NAV calculations and investment valuation support
• Management fees and investment expense allocations
• Performance reporting, including IRR, MoM, and cash flow analysis
• Audit and tax support, including K-1 coordination
• Partnership accounting and waterfall calculations
• Process improvement, automation, and systems initiatives

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• Public accounting experience is highly attractive
• PE, VC, fund accounting, or fund administration exposure is a plus, but not required
• Strong Excel, analytical, and reconciliation skills
• CPA or CPA-track preferred, but not required
• Someone who wants to learn, take ownership, and grow with the organization
