Energy Renewal Partners is a full-service environmental and project development consulting firm serving energy sector clients across renewable energy, oil and gas, and utility and industrial markets. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, our team brings permitting, ecological and cultural resource expertise, due diligence, and construction management together under one roof to help clients move projects from early-stage prospecting through construction and beyond.

We show up as a true partner — technically rigorous, refreshingly direct, and focused on getting projects across the finish line. Join us in shaping the future of energy, responsibly and reliably.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Energy Renewal Partners is seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our accounting function 10-15 hours per week, with an emphasis on month-end accounts receivable and accounts payable. This role works directly with ERP's Chief Financial Officer to keep client invoicing, vendor payments, and the monthly close running on schedule as the company grows.

The ideal candidate is an experienced bookkeeper who works independently, communicates proactively, and enjoys a steady part-time workload with a predictable monthly rhythm.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Process accounts payable, including coding vendor invoices, obtaining approvals, and preparing payment runs
  • Manage accounts receivable, including client invoicing, collections follow-up, and cash application
  • Support the month-end close by reconciling AR and AP subledgers, accruing open items, and clearing aged balances
  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and research variances
  • Maintain vendor and client records, W-9s, and supporting documentation
  • Enter and reconcile employee expense reports against company policy
  • Prepare simple AR aging, AP aging, and cash summaries for the CFO
WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with full-cycle AR and AP
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a month-end close in a small or mid-sized company
  • Working knowledge of accrual-basis accounting and general ledger coding
  • Proficiency with accounting software and intermediate Excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with high-volume transaction work
  • Ability to work independently on a part-time schedule and meet recurring close deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication with internal staff, clients, and vendors
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Deltek Ajera or another project-based accounting system
  • Background supporting a professional services, engineering, or consulting firm
  • Familiarity with project-level job costing and time-and-expense billing
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
  • Experience in the energy, utility, or renewable energy sector
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Actual offers are determined by a candidate's skills, experience, and internal pay equity.

Benefits Offered:

  • Direct exposure to executive leadership
  • Stable, recurring monthly workload
  • Potential to grow hours as the company scales
