Senior Manager, Project Finance​/Accounting

We're recruiting a Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting for a leadership opportunity with a major infrastructure organization in Austin, Texas. This role will lead the finance and accounting function supporting the organization's Texas operations and multiple infrastructure-related business activities.

The organization develops and operates infrastructure for its customers, including large-scale water and treatment infrastructure. The Senior Manager will have broad responsibility across accounting, customer billing, collections, capital accounting, financial reporting, and financial operations.

• Lead the finance and accounting function supporting multiple infrastructure projects and business operations.
• Oversee project accounting, including project costs, financial activity, and reporting.
• Lead customer billing and collections activities.
• Manage accounting for capital expenditures and infrastructure investments.
• Lead month-end and year-end close activities and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Review and analyze financial statements, project results, and supporting schedules.
• Monitor project financial performance and identify variances, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner closely with project, operations, finance, and leadership teams to support business decisions.
• Ensure accounting processes and financial information are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable accounting standards and internal policies.
• Oversee accounting activities across multiple projects and business areas.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting/finance team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting.

• CPA designation or another relevant professional accounting designation preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• Significant progressive experience in project accounting, construction accounting, infrastructure, EPC, or another project-based environment.
• Strong experience with project accounting, customer billing, collections, capital accounting, and financial reporting.
• Experience overseeing accounting or finance activities across multiple projects, entities, or business operations.
• Previous people leadership or team management experience.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, project financials, and reporting processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with project, operational, finance, and senior leadership teams.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

This is an opportunity to take on a senior finance and accounting leadership role supporting complex infrastructure projects across Texas. You'll have broad visibility across the business and the opportunity to influence project financial performance, accounting processes, reporting, and operational decision-making. You'll work closely with project teams, operations, finance, and senior leadership while overseeing accounting across multiple projects and business activities.
