Recurrent Energy is one of the world's largest and most geographically diversified utility-scale solar and energy storage project development, ownership, and O&M platforms. It is a subsidiary of Canadian Solar Inc. and partially owned by Black Rock. Recurrent Energy is focused on bringing low-cost clean energy and meaningful economic development to communities across the globe.
With a strong track record of originating, developing, financing, and building nearly 9 GWp of solar and 3 GWh of battery storage power plants across six continents, Recurrent Energy has established a leadership position in both solar and battery storage project development. With a total pipeline of 25 GWp in solar and 47 GWh in battery storage, of which 14 GW and 12 GWh respectively already have interconnections (as of January 31, 2023).
In addition, Recurrent Energy’s services business has 6 GW of projects under operations and maintenance contracts, either operational or contracted projects.

Canada or USA Reporting To:
Director, Interim Corporate Controller Join Recurrent Energy’s Finance team with a focus on global group accounting close, consolidation, and financial reporting
Primarily support the North America and EMEA regions
Key Responsibilities Oversee the monthly global group consolidation and analytical review process
Prepare and organize:
Group financial statements
Audit schedules
Consolidation proofs
Notes to the financial statements
Review financial data from subsidiaries and partner with regional controllers to ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAPMaintain the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) reporting system and lead system enhancements
Identify and implement improvements to:
Accounting policies
Financial reporting processes
Internal control procedures
Support compliance with SEC public company reporting requirements for the U.S.
-listed parent company, including regulatory filings with the SECAdvise and support regional accounting teams on complex or unusual accounting transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC interpretations
Liaise with external auditors and advisors
Perform other related duties as required
Financial & Organizational Scope Responsible for key areas of global financial reporting and consolidation
Role has a direct financial impact on the organization
Collaborate closely with the:
Global Consolidations team Regional Controllership teams
TaxFP&AProject Finance Legal Interact with external stakeholders, including auditors and advisors
Knowledge & Skills Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and consolidation accounting
Proficiency with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
SAP experience strongly preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Strong communication and project management skills
Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
Professional accounting designation required:
U.S. CPACanada CPAACCA membership
10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
At least 3+ years of experience in consolidation or financial reporting
Big Four audit background and/or recent experience preparing public company consolidated financial statements
Key Competencies Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform effectively in a deadline-driven environment
Mature, resourceful, responsible, detail-oriented, and highly organized
Collaborative and team-oriented while capable of working independently with minimal supervision
Ability to lead, train, and develop junior staff
