Responsibilities
Office Coordinator for Branches at San Marcos Outpatient – Insurance Verification. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the timely processing of insurance verifications for new patients, coordinating and processing admission verifications into the hospital patient accounting system, and coordinating between the business office and the Out-Patient department on all financial issues regarding admissions.
- Research and resolve discrepancies in patient account set-up, charges, and admission and discharge issues.
- Greet patients and complete consents/paperwork in the admitting and discharging process.
- Answer all incoming calls and return missed calls daily.
- General office duties: build charts, create packets, file and order supplies for the department.
- Education: High school diploma or GED. Some college preferred.
- Experience: Two to five years of work experience in a front office setting in a healthcare-related field is required. Business office work experience in a psychiatric hospital is highly desirable.
