Job Details

Purpose: The Business Services Administrative Associate provides key administrative processes and support for the University Unions Business Services department. This role uses initiative and judgement in supervising a number of student employees in routine and repetitive duties.

The Division of Student Affairs is the hub of student life and well-being at The University of Texas  team inspires all students — undergraduate, graduate and professional — to live the Longhorn life through its uniquely-designed programs, spaces and resources. They serve every student through physical health, mental health and well-being services; new student and family orientations; recreational sports; two university unions;

and the University’s official parent association. The Division supports 1,100+ student organizations; student governance organizations; student outreach, legal, and disability and access services. The team also provides student employment, leadership, first generation and volunteer programs.

Responsibilities
  • Initiate and process payment vouchers, Pro Card vouchers, and Travel Card vouchers while adhering to business procedures and UT policy.
  • Process departmental transfer and entertainment payment requests, including processing, inputting, and verifying backup and documentation is in line with University Unions business procedures and UT policy.
  • Voucher / Transfer / Performance Agreement tracking - maintain required documentation, spreadsheets and folders.
  • Process Hospitality Student Organization “What I Owe” charges as needed.
  • Process  charges as needed.
  • Vehicle tracking and maintenance of required documentation.
  • Assist with package delivery.
  • Perform business services related duties and administrative tasks as they arise.
  • Oversight of student workers.
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED. 2 years of relevant experience or education handling billing and accounting records, or other financial documents. Accuracy and attention to detail. Effective communication skills, excellent interpersonal relationship skills, problem solving and service excellence required.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous University experience, knowledge of university process and systems, more than 2 years of relevant experience or education.

Salary Range

$43,500 + depending on qualifications

Working Conditions
  • Typical office environment operating standard office equipment. Work is on‑site and in‑person, standard office hours.
