About the Role:
As a CBRE Mail Services Associate, you will be responsible for all aspects of the mailroom operations for a data center in the Austin area. Incoming and outgoing overnight packages will be a priority. You will be responsible for receiving, sorting, processing, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries. This role ensures timely and accurate mail services while maintaining organization, confidentiality, and compliance with company procedures.
Mailroom operating hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Lunch breaks are scheduled between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM. In the event of high mail volume or operational demands, the assigned staff member may take a later lunch to ensure coverage.
What You’ll Do:- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and courier deliveries
- Prepare outgoing mail, including weighing, labeling, and postage using mail equipment
- Maintain accurate mail logs and delivery records
- Operate and maintain mailroom equipment such as postage meters, scanners, and copiers
- Coordinate with courier services (USPS, Fed Ex, UPS, etc.)
- Handle confidential and sensitive materials with discretion
- Assist departments with bulk mailings and special delivery requests
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient mailroom workspace
- Stock mailroom supplies and notify management of low inventory
- Follow safety, security, and company policies at all times
- High School Diploma or GED with 3–4 years of job‑related experience.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.
- Ability to evaluate and communicate unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
- In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
