Perform and manage administrative operations for law school clinical courses, including Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic, Environmental Clinic, and Housing Policy Clinic. Maintain confidentiality with respect to student and client information, as appropriate.
Responsibilities- Maintain and manage clinic operations, coordinating travel arrangements and reimbursements, managing budgets, maintaining office area, ordering supplies, answering phone and email inquiries, distributing mail, and making photocopies.
- Help prepare and update clinical course materials, manage course sites on Canvas and the clinical program website, and support clinical faculty instructional activities.
- Prepare, manage, and maintain student and client files via electronic case management software; assist with client intake, follow‑up calls, and email communication with clinic applicants to gather information and manage client wait lists. Produce reports as needed.
- Serve as a welcoming point of contact for the clinics and prepare/manage communications with clients, students, faculty, and others.
- Serve as liaison between the clinics and various law school departments—accounting, facilities, special events, media services, and human resources—and plan/manage logistics for events.
- Assist in compiling, editing, and filing pleadings, reports, business entity‑related applications, and other case‑related documents.
- Train and assist students in clinic and office procedures, including use of clinic technology platforms.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by clinical faculty and the Law School Clinic Programs.
- Other related responsibilities and functions as assigned.
Bachelor's degree and three years’ experience coordinating or administering a program. Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment. Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills, computer and data management skills, attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage multiple concurrent projects. Professional demeanor and ability to work well with a wide variety of people.
Preferred QualificationsAdditional years’ experience coordinating or administering a program. One year experience as a clerical supervisor or performing complex administrative functions. Experience using Microsoft Teams, Excel, CLIO, Canvas, and other cloud‑based platforms, such as Box. Prior experience working with low‑income clients.
Salary$55,000 + depending on qualifications
Working ConditionsStandard office conditions involving repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation, manual dexterity, lifting and moving of standard office files and supplies, wearing appropriate office attire, and accepting supervision. Extended work hours may occasionally be required.
