Michael Hsu Office of Architecture is an award-winning, fully integrated architecture and interior design practice with offices in Austin and Houston. Our work is rooted in hospitality and placemaking and includes diverse projects that range from large mixed-use developments, adaptive reuse projects, public realm design, architectural branding, single family homes, hotels, restaurants, work spaces, and bespoke furniture design. We work throughout Texas and across the country in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta and Denver.
We are seeking a Studio Coordinator to join our Austin office to support the day-to-day operations, coordination, and overall experience of our studio. This role is highly collaborative and service-oriented, helping ensure the office runs smoothly while supporting employees, guests, leadership, and the broader Operations team. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and energized by creating thoughtful experiences and operational efficiency within a creative studio environment.
This is a full-time position based in Austin, TX, requiring regular in-person presence in our office.
- Welcoming guests and helping manage the day-to-day flow of the studio, phones, and incoming communication
- Coordinating mail, deliveries, shipments, and office logistics
- Keeping office supplies, snacks, kitchen items, and shared spaces organized and stocked
- Tracking administrative expenses and helping manage office-related budgets
- Helping keep the studio clean, organized, and running smoothly day-to-day
- Coordinating meetings, conference room scheduling, client lunches, and other hospitality details
- Supporting scheduling and administrative coordination for leadership and the People Operations team
- Helping answer employee questions and support day-to-day team needs
- Maintaining shared digital resources, trackers, and internal systems
- Coordinating guest presentations, internal programming from scheduling through setup
- Assisting with office events, celebrations, team gatherings, and studio engagement activities
- Coordinating with vendors, building management, and maintenance providers as needed
- Supporting team travel coordination and other administrative logistics
- Helping lead employee recognition efforts, including birthdays, anniversaries, and life events
- Partnering with leadership and operations teams to create a welcoming, organized, and thoughtful studio experience
- Previous professional experience in office coordination, administrative operations, workplace experience, hospitality, People Operations, or a related role
- Ability to work in-person from our Austin, TX office on a full-time basis
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of professionalism and hospitality
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem solve, and work independently while collaborating closely with a team
- Experience coordinating meetings, events, schedules, or office operations
- Comfort working with digital systems, shared calendars, spreadsheets, and communication platforms
- Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to support a collaborative studio culture
- Appreciation for design, hospitality, and contributing to a creative workplace culture
