Responsibilities
- Perform program and administrative activities for the Taxpayer Services Division, providing direct administrative support and technical assistance to the Director, supporting Division operations, disseminating information, maintaining filing systems, and serving as Division HR Liaison.
- Prepare personnel action and request forms, assist in hiring, provide timekeeping and payroll support, process special leave forms, coordinate and track mandatory and agency training, assist in creating training schedules and reporting outcomes.
- Review program area functions, identify areas needing change, develop improvement plans, coordinate Division Security and Support Services on building issues, assist in developing and preparing the Division’s disaster recovery plan, serve as backup for the travel coordinator, assist with purchasing and budget support, and monitor performance reports and LBB statistical reporting.
- Review and document section processes and procedures, assist with implementation of approved recommendations, and perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited high school or successful completion of the General Education Development Test (GED).
- Four (4) years of experience providing support to mid- or high-level managers, including administrative coordination, analytical work, and handling confidential operational tasks.
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills such as creating complex spreadsheets, using formulas and functions, performing data analysis, generating reports, and maintaining accurate records; experience writing and editing professional correspondence.
Education requirement may be substituted with up to four (4) years of related experience.
Employee Eligibility CriteriaEmployees new to the division, including transferees from other divisions within the agency, are not eligible for telework for the first thirty (30) calendar days. After thirty days, management will evaluate eligibility for telework.
Work HoursMonday through Friday, forty (40) hours a week with occasional evening, weekend hours and holidays. Hours may change based on business need.
