The Administrative Assistant within Residence Hall Operations supports residence halls, students, and professional staff. The role involves front‑desk management, customer service, coordination with Facilities and Maintenance, and participation in committee operations for a residential complex.
Responsibilities- Assist with selection, training, scheduling, and oversight of Desk Assistants; monitor desk operations, approve time records, and adjust staff assignments.
- Perform administrative functions at 24‑hour front desks: printing, filing, copying, supply maintenance, equipment management, mail processing, and key control audits.
- Provide customer service to students, parents, and guests; facilitate resident check‑in/check‑out and maintain a professional front desk appearance.
- Respond to incidents and security issues following emergency procedures; monitor hall access systems and report on security camera activity.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including residence‑hall tours, substituting at the area office desk, and representing residence life on committees.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of clerical experience, including 1 year at a Senior Office Assistant level.
- Four or more years of experience at an Administrative Assistant level.
- University‑setting experience.
- Experience with housing management software (e.g., Star Rez).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience training staff and handling mail and packages.
- Strong multitasking, process analysis, and attention to detail.
- Collaborative teamwork skills and excellent interpersonal communication.

$41,600 + depending on qualifications

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (may vary due to business needs).
