PurposeThe contract administrator will support the Contracts and Procurement team in drafting, evaluating, negotiating, and executing contracts and amendments for UT System-wide complex and technical procurements.
Responsibilities- Work on contract administration to prioritize necessary actions and consistently apply policies and practices.
- Work with varying sources of information and stakeholders such as IT, HR, Facilities, and External Relations departments, who need contract assistance.
- Monitor and control the flow of work through the procurement and contract systems, working closely with the contracts and procurement team. Assist contract managers and the Assistant Director of the department in determining requirements for the purchase of goods or services.
- Deliver and develop effective communication via email and meetings with departmental end users/customers.
- Assist with monitoring transaction compliance (intake Excel spreadsheet, milestones, deliverables, etc.). Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree with major coursework in business administration or related field and 3-5 years of relevant experience. One year of college (30 semester hours) may be substituted for one year of the required experience on a year-for-year basis, with a maximum of 4 years of substituted experience.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in preparation, administration, and management of complex solicitations and contracts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with exposure to document control and/or tracking software. Preferred, but not required, Contract Management Certification.
