Student workers work closely with full-time staff and as part of a student worker pool. Our office is looking for students who are flexible, friendly, effective written and verbal communicators, and able to work well alone and with a team. The ideal candidate will also have a background in customer service, a strong sense of integrity and confidentiality, and must be able to demonstrate the ability to take initiative.
Work Study and Non-Work Study possible.
All training necessary will be provided. Career Competencies Gained:
- Articulate thoughts and ideas clearly and effectively in written and oral forms to persons inside and outside of the organization
- Leverage existing digital technologies ethically and efficiently to solve problems, complete tasks, and accomplish goals
- Demonstrate personal accountability, ability to learn from mistakes, and effective work habits, e.g., punctuality, working productively with others, and time workload management
- Directing incoming calls
- Answering inquiries from students and alumni
- Special projects and assignments through office-wide including data entry
- Assistance with digitization of documents
- User testing for online systems and webpages
- Organizing and processing diploma and transcript mail outs
- Working with web design team and communication team
- Assisting with office events
- Assisting in training of new student workers
- Presentation design (PowerPoint, music, video, etc.)
- Freshman or sophomore classification only
- Background in customer service
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
$14 per hour
Working Conditions- Work to be performed in a typical office environment
- 10-15 hours per week
- Summer hours may allow more.
