Job Description SummaryTo provide clerical and administrative support to faculty, staff, and students.
Responsibilities- Process and prioritize office communications, including mail, e‑mail, and telephone inquiries.
- Maintain and coordinate the supervisor’s schedule, including department meetings, events, and conference calls.
- Handle clerical tasks such as ordering supplies, maintaining files, and creating routine or special reports.
- Assist in the preparation of budget documents, purchase orders, and requisitions; track expenditures and support departmental procurement.
- Serve as a technical resource for computer hardware, software, and office equipment (copiers, fax machines).
- Coordinate special projects such as room scheduling, information packets, and data presentation (spreadsheets, charts).
- Provide customer‑service support to a diverse student and staff population, resolving issues and directing inquiries.
- Maintain confidentiality of work‑related information and internal/external relationships.
- Required:
Two years of related administrative or clerical experience. - Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. - Preferred:
Familiarity with serving diverse populations and issues related to equity and inclusion. - Knowledge of office procedures, customer‑service techniques, basic bookkeeping, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet, word‑processing, database, presentation, desktop‑publishing, and social‑media tools.
Shared office environment with standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling; occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
CompensationSalary Range: $47,840 - $51,189 per annum (PG
2).
- Medical, dental, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, retirement plans, and AD&D.
- Participation in the Texas Teacher Retirement System (TRS) and Optional Retirement Program (ORP).
- Hourly employees eligible for ACC Money Purchase Plan.
Employees may be required to report certain crimes; selected personnel receive training and support for compliance with the Clery Act.
