Position Description

The Lead Front Desk Clerk is responsible for the support and guidance of the front desk team and some administrative duties. This position will also fulfill all duties of a Front Desk Clerk to include working shifts, interacting with residents, communicating the community policies, and promoting the safety of the community.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities
  • All functions of Front Desk Clerk to include: familiarity with the identity of all residents, responding to resident problems and emergencies as appropriate, fulfilling office functions, interacting with residents to communicate rules as outlined in the lease and community policies, preparing documentation such as incident reports and shift reports, monitoring video surveillance and guest sign-in/sign-outs.
  • While working regular scheduled shifts during the week, a Lead Desk Clerk may be a resource for Front Desk Clerks to reach out to for support and guidance.
  • Work closely with the Front Desk Leadership Team by bringing a Front Desk Clerk’s perspective, sharing ideas, and problem solving.
  • Provide guidance for Front Desk Staff at all SRO Communities by fielding questions and problem solving while on duty.
  • Preserve the team’s schedule and integrity by covering shifts wherever needed in the SRO Communities.
  • Follow procedure for accepting staff call outs and arranging staff coverage.
  • Be shadowed by new Front Desk Clerk staff members and conduct training as needed
  • Assist with basic administrative tasks as assigned such as maintaining Front Desk Binders, supply trackers, and other team tools.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all residents, staff records and information.
  • Foster professional relationships with all levels of staff, volunteers, and residents.

Provide desk coverage at all SRO’s of Foundation Communities, especially high intensity properties.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have reliable, dependable transportation in working condition
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and human relation skills while also having the ability to deescalate difficult situations, exercise good judgement, maintain self-control, and remain calm in a crisis.
  • Enthusiasm, good attitude, trustworthiness, personal integrity, honesty.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with residents, site personnel, volunteers, peers, and supervisors.
  • Good comprehension and communication skills, with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through verbal communication. Must speak and write in English.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, smart phones, and basic office equipment
  • Experience on Front Desk Clerk team is required.
Preferred Requirements
  • CPR/First Aid Certified
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish or Arabic)
  • Experience in leadership role (preferred).
Working Conditions Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is seated in an office setting and is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is frequently required to use hands. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

environment

The work conditions usually take place in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. An occupational exposure to blood, or other potentially infectious materials can be expected. May be asked to clean up bodily fluids and insect feces with appropriate training and personal protective equipment provided.

Compensation

21.50/hr
