Operations Manager (Full-Time) - Restore Austin | Austin, Tx

Operations Manager Job Description

The Operations Manager provides leadership and coordination for the operational and administrative functions of Restore Austin. This full-time role is responsible for creating a welcoming and well-organized environment for guests, staff, and volunteers by overseeing Sunday operations, office administration, volunteer coordination, facility scheduling, and church events. In collaboration with the leadership team, the Operations Manager ensures the day-to-day operations of the church are executed with excellence, allowing ministries to flourish and helping fulfill Restore Austin's mission.

  • Experience coordinating volunteers and leading teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and church management software (Planning Center preferred)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Comfortable learning and managing basic website updates and facility systems

Weekend and occasional evening availability required for church services, events, and volunteer support.

Duties & Responsibilities

Sunday Operations
  • Assist with Sunday logistics and serve as an active member of the Sunday Operations Team
  • Lead and support Connection and Setup/Tear Down volunteer teams (Operations Team following the Berkman campus transition)
  • Coordinate Sunday setup and teardown activities
  • Manage weekly breakfast taco and donut orders
  • Coordinate operational logistics for special Sunday events, including Find My Place, Group Connect, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and other church-wide gatherings
  • Record and report weekly attendance
  • Collect and process Connect Cards
Office Operations & Administration
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for guests and visitors during office hours
  • Welcome visitors and direct them appropriately
  • Receive and coordinate deliveries
  • Provide administrative support to staff and ministry leaders, including printing, email communications, and document preparation
  • Create and distribute the weekly church email
  • Perform basic website updates
  • Maintain Planning Center People, Services, Groups, and Events
  • Manage facility HVAC scheduling
  • Coordinate scheduling and communication with janitorial services
  • Maintain office, hospitality, and Sunday ministry supplies
  • Identify, track, and coordinate facility maintenance and security needs
Event Coordination
  • Oversee the church calendar and facility reservations for internal ministries and third-party events
  • Coordinate facility rentals, including walk-throughs, rental agreements, usage expectations, and payments
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for church events, staff meetings, leadership gatherings, weddings, funerals, and other special events
  • Lead and coordinate the Party People volunteer team to support church events and hospitality initiatives
  • Manage volunteer scheduling adjustments, including last-minute changes outside normal office hours when necessary
  • Prepare volunteer name tags and related materials
  • Foster a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and servant leadership among volunteers

Status:
Full-time, Exempt

Salary:
Commensurate with experience and qualifications

Schedule/

Hours:

Sunday-Thursday | Sunday service hours and Monday-Thursday, 8:00 a.m.

-4:00 p.m., with occasional evening responsibilities for events and volunteer support.
