Purpose Provide key administrative support as part of the Centralized Business Services (CBS) team in the College of Liberal Arts Deans Office. This position requires the use of initiative and judgment, as well as strong customer service skills and time management. This position serves as a member of a team of administrative professionals supporting a wide range of academic and administrative departments, along with centers and institutes across the College.

  • Communicate regularly via email with department unit staff and faculty regarding vouchers and CBS processes/knowledge. Create vouchers for payments, reimbursements, scholarships, and travel documents for faculty while adhering to college policies and procedures and with high level attention to detail.
  • Maintain payment processing electronic workflow, log daily payments/purchasing and reimbursement requests, and update client records in UT BOX.

Process cash advance requests and reconciliations. Other duties as assigned.

High school graduation or GED. Three years of clerical experience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service and previous experience in a customer-oriented environment. Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multitask in an environment with frequent interruptions. Self-starter and self-reliant ability and willingness to work independently and as a team. Experience providing reception services in a professional setting and/or experience with clerical functions associated with sensitive and confidential information.

More than the required years of experience with clerical functions. Governmental or commercial accounting experience. Working knowledge of university components and Graduate School policies. Experience providing reception services in a professional setting and/or experience with clerical functions associated with sensitive and confidential information. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Familiarity with UT policy and procedures.

Hourly Rate

$23.00

  • The work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
