Austin Oaks Hospital offers a continuum of psychiatric services for adolescents and adults. Located in South Austin, Texas on a beautiful 13‑acre oak lined campus, we strive to provide a home‑like environment that promotes crisis resolution, positive self‑awareness, social skills, and personal growth.
Austin Oaks Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services to stabilize symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other behavioral health disorders.

Position SummaryReceptionist (Weekend) key responsibilities include but are not limited to: process incoming and outgoing verbal and written communication for employees, patients, families, agencies and all other persons having business with the hospital; assist with data entry projects, copy projects, and daily census updates.
Schedule is Saturday and Sunday 7a‑7p.
EssentialJob Duties
- Answer the multi‑line phone system and take accurate messages. Relay messages, verbally or in writing, to the appropriate personnel.
- Professionally communicate with anyone who calls or approaches the Reception area with questions or requests.
- Greet visitors, issue visitor passes, and initiate appropriate contacts while speaking clearly.
- Monitor emergency systems and facilitate response to emergency codes as required.
- Assist with distribution of mail/packages arriving after hours and on weekends.
- Handle data entry projects, daily census updates, and copy projects.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in dress, attitude, and support of unit milieu, facility mission and philosophy.
Required:
High School diploma or equivalency.
Preferred:
Some college.
Preferred:
- Previous experience on a multi‑line phone system.
- Previous general office experience.
