The Kumaus Construction is seeking a motivated Bilingual Construction Administrative Assistant to support our project management and site operations in Austin, TX. This project-based role does not require prior knowledge of architecture or engineering. Instead, it focuses on daily operational support, documentation, and coordination. The assistant will handle daily construction logs, assist with project documentation, and visit active job sites to take progress photos.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent bilingual communication skills and basic computer literacy to ensure smooth administrative workflows.
- Bilingual Communication:
Full professional proficiency in both English and Korean to facilitate seamless communication between field teams, project stakeholders, and management. - Administrative Support:
Strong organizational skills to manage project documentation, compile daily logs, and handle general office paperwork accurately. - Computer Literacy:
Proficiency in utilizing standard computer applications (MS Office or Google Workspace) for data entry, document formatting, and email correspondence.
- Project Documentation Support:
Assist in preparing and organizing public works documents, project files, and administrative paperwork. No technical engineering knowledge required. - Field Site Visits & Progress Tracking:
Visit active construction project sites periodically to take progress photos and visually document the layout for tracking purposes (non-technical field tasks). - Bilingual Correspondence:
Serve as a bilingual administrative bridge, handling telephone inquiries, email communications, and messages in both English and Korean. - General Office Administration:
Manage office supplies, organize files, perform digital data entry, and support the broader project team with general clerical tasks.
- Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Higher education or degrees will be factored into compensation. - Experience:
Entry-level candidates and recent graduates are welcome to apply. Prior administrative, customer service, or clerical support experience is a plus but not mandatory. - Language
Skills:
Must be bilingual (fluent/proficient in both Korean and English). - Technical
Skills:
Comfortable using computers, operating standard office equipment, and handling digital camera/smartphone files for progress reports.
- Operational Flexibility:
Ability to work flexible hours, including required Saturday shifts depending on the active status of the construction site. - Detail-Oriented & Reliability:
High accuracy in data entry and consistent attendance to match the rigorous timelines of the construction project. - Adaptability & Energy:
Comfortable moving between an office setting and active construction site environments to fulfill daily documentation requirements.
