This position is a member of our Enforcement Division.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing
  • Prepare and mail complex correspondence, reports, forms, agenda notifications, and related enforcement documents to support the work of the water enforcement section. Answer division phones and route calls as appropriate. Provide back-up support to the administrative support staff of the other technical teams.
  • Process mail and prepare the correspondence for the compliance monitoring program. Coordinate the distribution of supplies of self-reporting forms for water quality permit tees; and assist technical staff in researching and resolving report discrepancies. Upload data entry, and review for quality assurance. Prepare self-reporting documents and other correspondence for data entry. Compile and maintain self-reporting data. Prepare reports for division management and agency staff.
  • Coordinate and assist with the conversion and revision of documents to ensure accessibility standards are met.
  • Assist other administrative staff with daily administrative tasks; sort mail, distribute reports, sort enforcement documents. Develop administrative policies and procedures as required.
  • Provide overall administrative assistance to the Water Quality Section Manager.
  • Create and maintain various databases; review and compile data; and prepare reports, schedule and/or summaries. Maintain and order office supplies; and report problems relating to office equipment.
Key Qualifications
  • Experience providing administrative support to technical staff.
Required Education & Experience

Graduation from a standard senior high school or its equivalent plus five years of full-time experience providing administrative support in an office setting.*

OR

Two years as an Administrative Assistant IV at TCEQ.

  • Fifteen semester hours from an accredited college or university may be substituted for each six months of the required experience with a maximum substitution of four years.

Work Schedule

Standard business hours are M-F, 8:00 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m.

Individual and work group schedule determined by the TCEQ Enforcement Division.
