About The Role
The Credit Administration Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the AVP
- Credit Manager. This position is responsible for assisting with preparing reports, maintaining electronic records, monitoring covenant tracking, reviewing loan documentation for accuracy, and ensuring information is properly entered and maintained within the bank's systems.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and able to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
Job Duties- Provide administrative support to the AVP
- Credit Manager. - Prepare, format, and distribute notices, and customer-related letters.
- Save and maintain loan and credit-related documents in the appropriate electronic filing and document management systems.
- Pull, compile, and prepare reports used for management, regulatory, and portfolio reporting purposes.
- Review loan documentation to ensure covenant language and requirements are consistent with loan approvals.
- Ensure new and renewed loans are properly set up for covenant monitoring and reporting.
- Maintain accurate reports related to covenant compliance and credit administration activities.
- Coordinate with lenders, credit analysts, loan operations, and other departments to resolve discrepancies and obtain required documentation.
- Monitor assigned workflows and assist with department projects and process improvements.
- Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies in documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly:
- Excel
- Word
- Adobe Acrobat/PDF tools
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand legal documents, including loan agreements, promissory notes, and related loan documentation, with the ability to identify key terms, conditions, and covenant requirements.
- Previous banking experience preferred; teller, customer service, loan operations, or other financial institution experience is acceptable.
- Experience reviewing loan documentation or working within a credit administration environment.
- Familiarity with commercial lending processes and covenant monitoring.
