PurposeThe Administrative Assistant for the Center for Water and the Environment is a 15 to 19-hour per week position that supports the operations of the Administrative Team on the J.J. Pickle Campus in north Austin. This role will assist with purchasing, service center invoicing, payment vouchers, inventory and general office operations.
ResponsibilitiesProcess and track Pro Card purchases, UT Market purchases, and purchase orders. Create Service Center Invoices and process payment vouchers.
Assist with inventory cataloguing. General Data Entry. Performs other related job duties as assigned, such as VT6s, VPEs and VE5s.
High School Diploma and five (5) years of clerical experience or a Bachelors Degree and one (1) year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to learn quickly and be flexible. Ability to undertake and complete tasks with minimal supervision and exhibit individual initiative in meeting the functions of the position.
Preferred QualificationsMore than two (2) years of experience at the Administrative Assistant level. More than one (1) year as an Administrative Associate Experience using UT mainframe accounting system (Define, FRMS) Experience processing purchases at UT Austin.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid (on-campus and off-campus) work based on business needs and at the discretion of the supervisor. Flexible hours
