RoleDescription:
oThis is a part-time, seasonal on-site role for a Special Events & Marketing Assistant based in Austin, TX. The assistant will be responsible for supporting the Viva la Vida Dia de los Muertos event planning and management, assisting with marketing initiatives, providing administrative support, and ensuring excellent customer service during events. Daily tasks include coordinating event logistics, managing volunteer schedules, updating marketing materials, and maintaining database records and other aspects of the event specifically for Mexic-Arte's Annual Day of the Dead celebration, Viva la Vida Festival & Parade.
Qualifications:- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
- Proficiency in Event Planning and Event Management
- Experience in Administrative Assistance
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in a museum or cultural institution is a plus
Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM, possible evening/weekend hours for events
