The state supported living centers serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are medically fragile or who have behavioral problems. The Administrative Assistant for Client Records performs administrative support work involving record keeping, entering data, disseminating information, and maintaining filing systems. Complete a large amount of data entry using IRIS. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Employees at this level may fully perform a variety of routine daily tasks but may often rely on direction from others to solve problems that are not standard.

Employees may respond to basic inquiries and explain routine administrative rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions (EJFs)

Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.

Prepares and disseminates information concerning agency programs, services and procedures.

Prepares, edits, and distributes correspondence, reports, studies, forms, and documents.

Creates, maintains, and enters information into databases.

Compiles data for charts, graphs, databases, summaries, or reports.

Performs related work as assigned.

Additional Information

Applicants must pass a fingerprint criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and registry checks including the Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System (CANRS), Nurse Aide, Medication Aide and Employee Misconduct and HHS List of Excluded Individuals/ Entities (LEIE).

Males between the ages of 18 – 25 must be registered with the Selective Service.
