Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

Full-Time (30+ hours/week)
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Weekend Shift: Saturday & Sunday, 9:30 AM – 10:00 PM
We are seeking a skilled Body Shop Service Technician to support a fleet of autonomous electric vehicles in Austin, TX. This role combines automotive maintenance, light-to-moderate body repair, and fleet operations support in a high-growth autonomous vehicle (AV) environment.
This is a hands‑on position ideal for experienced automotive technicians with strong mechanical aptitude, body shop experience, and a safety‑first mindset. You will play a critical role in ensuring fleet safety, performance, compliance, and road readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, document, and photograph vehicle damage following road incidents
- Perform minor on‑site automotive repairs and coordinate major repairs with partner service centers
- Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections (brakes, tires, fluids, HVAC/AC, diagnostics)
- Execute light‑to‑moderate automotive body work, including:
- Panel alignment and panel fitting
- Trim and bumper repair or replacement
- Mirror and exterior component installation
- Cosmetic repairs and touch‑ups
- Sanding, surface preparation, priming, and minor paint correction
- Light welding as needed
- Distinguish cosmetic vs. structural damage and escalated appropriately
- Support vehicle evacuations, towing coordination, and emergency response
- Transport fleet vehicles to service appointments, repair facilities, and car washes
- Maintain shop cleanliness, safety compliance, and fleet readiness standards
- Proactively identify mechanical or body issues before they impact operations
- 2+ years of automotive technician, fleet technician, or body shop experience
- Hands‑on experience with automotive body repair, panel fitting, or exterior component installation
- Proficiency using hand tools and power tools in a professional automotive environment
- Strong understanding of vehicle fit‑and‑finish standards
- Ability to assess body damage and determine repair scope
- Experience with routine vehicle maintenance and inspections
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Experience working with electric vehicles (EV) or hybrid vehicles
- Exposure to autonomous vehicle (AV) fleets or mobility operations
- ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence)
- Fleet maintenance or transportation operations experience
